Description

Our luxurious face and body oil takes months to create. First, we grow the calendula and chamomile flowers with love, care, and organic gardening practices. Then the flowers are dried with with slow, low heat to preserve the medicinal properties of each component to the maximum extent possible. Finally, the dry flowers slow-infuse in certified organic cold-pressed jojoba oil for over a month! The final result is a highly soothing and moisturizing face and body oil with a very light, natural scent.

Directions

A little goes a long way! Apply a few drops of oil (pea size) to your face and neck as a daily moisturizer. Use as spot treatment on irritated or dry areas. For external use only. Does not require refrigeration (jojoba oil has a 5 year shelf life).

Though the oil can be used on your entire body, we suggest trying our organic body lotion, calendula salve or lavender salve for regular application of large areas – which offer many of the same benefits, and will be most cost effective to you!

About Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is considered a “dry oil”. It’s molecular structure closely resembles our skin’s natural sebum, so it absorbs exceptionally well and locks in moisture without feeling thick or greasy! Boasting high levels of Vitamin E, zinc, and omega fatty acids, jojoba oil is an antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory. These things make jojoba oil effective at soothing eczema, acne, psoriasis, wounds, scars, and other skin conditions.

Eicosenoic acid (EA) makes up 70% of the total fatty acids found in jojoba oil – a powerful plant-based monounsaturated fatty acid. EA works to break down oil build up, unclog pores, remove impurities, soften skin, and reduce excess sebum (oil) production. This helps stressed skin restore a healthy natural moisture balance, and makes jojoba a great option for those with dry, oily, combination, or sensitive skin alike! Because of this however, some people experience a temporary initial “purge” of small breakouts when they first begin to use jojoba oil. Rest assured it’s just doing its job.

Calendula and chamomile are both anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidants. Both are known to soothe and/or improve skin irritations and ailments including redness, scars, rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, stings, bites, stretch marks, scrapes, bruises or swelling, cradle cap, diaper rash, burns (including sunburn and razor burn), cold sores, chapped lips, cracked cuticles, rough elbows and feet, or general moisture for dry skin.
