Ingredients

Virgin sweet almond oil*, virgin sunflower oil*, USA beeswax, shea butter*, vitamin E oil*,  eucalyptus*, tea tree* cedarwood*, and chamomile* essential oils (*= certified organic)

How to Use Aftershave & Beard Balm

Use this organic aftershave and beard balm to soothe skin after shaving – to reduce redness, irritation, and lock in moisture. Simply dip into the tin with clean fingers and then spread on your skin. It can also be applied directly on facial hair to soften, condition, and reduce dry flaky skin. For beard application, gather a small amount on your fingertips, rub to warm/melt, and then evenly work it into hair (rather than gooping it straight on).

 

Why Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Cedarwood, and Chamomile?

The certified-organic essential oils used in this aftershave and beard balm were chosen with purpose! Eucalyptus, tea tree, cedarwood, and chamomile all boast potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and analgesic (pain relieving) properties – perfectly suited to soothe irritated or red skin, and prevent and treat acne. Cedarwood is also said to help with eczema and scars. Tea tree reduces itching, promotes wound healing, and may help with psoriasis. Both are excellent to fight dandruff. Not to mention they all smell wonderful! This balm has a light, natural aroma. It is pleasant and relaxing, but not overpowering.

 

Other Oils

This salve is created with organic sweet almond oil and organic safflower oil, both virgin and cold-pressed. Sweet Almond Oil is a powerful moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin, including baby skin. It works to reduce excess sebum, inflammation, scars, dryness, eczema, and acne. Sweet almond oil can also lighten skin tone, dark circles, and support an even complexion.  Sunflower oil is great for both dry, irritated skin or oily, acne-prone skin alike. It is gentle, lightweight, and will not clog pores. It is also highly moisturizing and healing, high in Vitamin E and oleic acid (an omega 9 fatty acid) that provide natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It easily absorbs into the skin to lock in moisture, soothe and soften skin. Finally, we add organic Vitamin E oil  for added moisture, and to promote a smooth, even complexion. Sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, and shea butter are all non-comedogenic – meaning they will not clog your pores.
