Our organic salves are made with love, the highest quality ingredients possible, and a “low and slow” (heat) process from start to finish ~ to preserve the medicinal properties of each component to the maximum extent possible. The final result is a highly nourishing natural salve, packed in a 2-ounce tin and ready to soothe ache and inflammation.
Warming essential oil blend includes: peppermint, cinnamon, ginger, clove, bay laurel leaf, black pepper, german chamomile, juniper, and thyme essential oils.
How Ache Away Balm Works
Made with ingredients that can help reduce inflammation, increase circulation, and ease discomfort associated with everyday joint or muscle aches. This balm may not be effective for deeper chronic pain or nerve pain.
Arnica flowers (Arnica Montana) have been used for centuries as a natural pain reliever and known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, often used to treat bruises, muscle pain, and swelling.
White willow bark is one of nature’s oldest natural “aspirins”. White willow bark contains salicin, a compound that is converted to salicylic acid in the body. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in aspirin, also known for it’s anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) properties.
Castor oil is anti-bacterial, high in antioxidants, and contains ricinoleic acid, an anti-inflammatory compound. It can help reduce redness, swelling, and pain, especially when combined with heat therapy (e.g. applied with a warm compress).
The essential oil blend used in Ache Away also targets inflammation, increases circulation, provides a cooling/warming sensation to skin and muscles (similar to “Icy Hot”) and offers a sense of overall pain relief.
